Executive Level Facilitation These are short examples of processes and events facilitated by Rebecca Leet & Associates for specific clients. American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine Foundation Rebecca Leet & Associates was engaged to facilitate the first Board of Directors meeting for the ACP-ASIM Foundation. The two-day meeting included Board training in the marketing for mission orientation as well as facilitation of discussions that helped the Board articulate the foundation's core values, mission, and goals. As with all such meetings, Rebecca Leet & Associates worked with Foundation staff to custom-design a meeting structure and agenda that ensured that the retreat's objectives were achieved. Associated Press Managing Editor's Association APME has a special project to prod news media outlets across the United States to engage in community dialogues on issues of controversy between the public and the newspaper or broadcast station. It used Rebecca Leet & Associates at its training workshops to train journalists how to facilitate such dialogues, but when a Utah newspaper faced an especially difficult roundtable discussion – about coverage of child sexual abuse – APME engaged Rebecca Leet & Associates to facilitate the event. The 2½-hour discussion, which had abuse victims in face-to-face conversation with wives of convicted abusers, ended with participants thanking the newspaper for holding the dialogue and acknowledging the difficulty of balancing all the different interests to deliver a fair story. Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology As part of revising its strategic plan, APIC engaged Rebecca Leet & Associates to facilitate a two-day retreat during which executives and members of the Board of Directors could discuss and decide on plan revisions. As with all retreats, Rebecca Leet & Associates worked with the CEO to custom-design a meeting structure and agenda that would ensure that the retreat's objectives were achieved and to create, as was necessary in this case, specialized tools to make it possible to use the time available most effectively and efficiently.
